Kim is happy to call Williamsburg home for the past eight years. As the daughter of a career naval officer and the wife of a navy submarine officer she spent many years traversing the globe and creating home and community wherever life found her. An interest in impacting the world around her for the better started early in her adult life and led to a lifetime of volunteerism. A few of those volunteer roles were providing support to navy spouses and families, educational therapy in inner-city schools with at-risk children, and liaison to graduate students from around the world. Before moving to Williamsburg, Kim worked with Global Student Ventures, a Christian organization that provides hands-on support to international students studying in the greater Hampton Roads area. Kim and her husband, Brad, have two sons and she is “Mimi” to eight fun-loving grandchildren. She is an avid hiker and cyclist, enjoys reading, and still loves traveling the globe.
